This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for HDD repair and data-recovery use. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique drive information in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip (or its data) must be moved or copied to the replacement board — if physical chip transfer is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform it. For customers with purchases of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either relocating the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
