Only the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) is included in this sale — no drive assembly or platters. Because we stock large quantities of PCBs, the unit you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery applications. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: many drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM memory chip; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to function correctly. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually transplant the chip. For customers spending $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto your new PCB or reprogramming the board with the correct ROM data.
