Sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock large quantities of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This replacement PCB is intended for Seagate SATA 2.5 drives and is supplied primarily for data recovery and hard drive repair work. Before ordering, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: many hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM (memory) chip that is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
