This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we stock many of these boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for HDD repair and data-recovery work. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs store unique drive-specific data in the ROM (memory) chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board (or the new board reprogrammed). If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant.
