Item is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive or enclosure is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the unit you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery work. Before purchasing, verify compatibility by using our Donor Matching Guide and follow our hard drive Diagnostics Guide to confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue. Most Seagate PCBs contain unique information stored in the ROM (memory) chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself or its data must be moved/transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically transplanted, a local computer technician can typically perform that operation. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
