Item is for the hard drive PCB/logic board only — no hard drive included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This replacement PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before purchasing, confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs store drive-specific data in the ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the chip. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
