Sale is for the Seagate hard drive logic board (PCB) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock large quantities of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This replacement PCB is intended for use in hard drive repairs and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your problem by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board — a local computer technician can usually perform the chip transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
