This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We stock a large quantity of these PCBs, so the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement circuit boards are intended for hard drive repair or data recovery tasks. Most Seagate PCBs store essential, unique data in the ROM "memory" chip; that data must be present on the replacement board for the drive to function. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the new PCB; if removal and transplant of the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure.
