This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the actual board shipped may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: hard drive repair or data recovery. To confirm that a PCB replacement will fix your drive, please use our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs contain unique information stored in the ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for proper operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service which includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
