This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB, Logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards include unique configuration data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement PCB. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to handle the transfer. For customers who spend $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that will either transplant the ROM chip to the new board or reprogram the replacement PCB with the correct ROM data.
