Item is the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we have a large inventory of similar PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before ordering, confirm compatibility using our Donor Matching Guide and run the hard drive Diagnostics Guide to determine whether a replacement PCB will resolve your problem. Most Seagate PCBs store unique drive-specific information in the ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that will either relocate the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
