This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock many boards, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for data recovery and hard drive repair, this PCB is intended as a replacement part; please use our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue. Verify compatibility by consulting the Donor Matching Guide before ordering. Most 2.5" Seagate PCBs carry unique information on a ROM (memory) chip that is essential for the drive to function. That ROM data must be moved to the replacement board or the replacement must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM contents. If physical transfer of the ROM chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the task. For orders of $60 or more we include complimentary adaptation: we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
