This sale is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and HDD repair. Before buying, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs contain unique data in the ROM "memory" chip that is required for correct drive operation; that ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If transferring the chip is feasible, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
