This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. We stock a large quantity of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the pictured unit. Intended for HDD repair and data recovery, this replacement board can be used only if compatible with your drive — please consult our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide to confirm a PCB swap is likely to resolve your issue. Review the Donor Matching Guide to ensure part compatibility before purchasing. Most hard drive PCBs contain a ROM "memory" chip with unique drive-specific data that is required for proper operation. That ROM chip or its data must be moved or copied to the replacement board; this can often be done by a local computer technician if the chip is transferable. For orders of $60 or more we include complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
