This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the actual board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended for Seagate SATA 3.5 repairs and data recovery, this part should be used only after confirming that a PCB replacement will solve your issue. Most Seagate PCBs contain a unique ROM memory chip with drive-specific parameters; that ROM or its data must be moved or reprogrammed onto the replacement board for the drive to function correctly. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can often transplant the chip. For purchases of $60 or more we include complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement with the correct ROM data.
