This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. The PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery for the Seagate ST5000DM000 (1FK178-568) CC49 3790 G SATA 3.5 family. Because we have a large inventory, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Most Seagate PCBs contain unique configuration data in a ROM memory chip that is required for correct drive operation. That ROM data must be transferred to the replacement board — either by physically moving the ROM chip or by reprogramming the new board. If you are not comfortable doing this yourself, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer.
