This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is NOT included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the actual board shipped may differ slightly from the photo. The PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by reviewing our hard drive diagnostics guide and check compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs contain unique service data stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM content is required for proper drive operation, so the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transferring the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
