This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we carry a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for data recovery and hard drive repair, this PCB should be used only after confirming compatibility and diagnosing the drive. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM ("memory") chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation. You must transfer the ROM chip or its contents to the replacement board — if moving the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the swap. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
