This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These Seagate PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is essential for the drive to function. The ROM chip itself or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If possible, a local computer technician can perform the chip transplant. For customers who spend $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
