This sale is for the hard drive circuit board / logic board only — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory of these PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Compatible with Seagate ST4000DM000 (1F2168-300, CC52, 3164 H) SATA 3.5 applications and intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery projects. Most HDD circuit boards contain unique data stored in a ROM (memory) chip that is required for the drive to operate correctly. That ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more we provide complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the proper ROM data.
