Listing includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB, logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We maintain a large inventory of PCBs, so the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery. To confirm a replacement board will resolve your issue, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for correct operation; the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
