This listing is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We stock a large number of PCBs, so the item you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This circuit board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Many Seagate PCBs store unique configuration data in the ROM memory chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be moved to the replacement board or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data. If the ROM chip can be physically transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform the task. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to your new PCB or programs the replacement with the proper ROM data.
