We stock a large number of these boards, so the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is sold for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Many hard drive PCBs hold unique information in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer.
