This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we carry many PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that swapping the PCB will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM memory chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
