This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we have a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These circuit boards are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most Seagate PCBs store unique calibration and configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board (or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data). If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the chip. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto your new PCB or reprogramming the board with the proper ROM data.
