Item is the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive is NOT included. Because we have a large stock of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery projects. Many Seagate PCBs store critical, unique information in the ROM memory chip; that data is required for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data. If chip transfer is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the swap.
