This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the unit you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before ordering, verify that a PCB replacement will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and confirming compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for the drive to operate. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transferring the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
