This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we have a large stock of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is sold for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
