This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive is not included. Because we stock a large number of compatible PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement PCBs are intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Most Seagate PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be moved or written onto the replacement board. If transfer of the chip is feasible, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure.
