Because we maintain a large inventory, the PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery workflows. Important: most hard drive circuit boards store unique service data in a ROM memory chip. That ROM data is required for proper drive operation and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. Alternatively, the ROM contents can be reprogrammed onto the new PCB. We offer complimentary adaptation for orders of $60 or more — this service includes either moving the ROM chip to the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
