This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / Logic board) ONLY — the drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or HDD repair. Most Seagate PCBs store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant.
