This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we carry a large quantity of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the pictured unit. Intended use: hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, verify that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs contain unique configuration data in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its stored data must be transferred to the replacement board. If physical transfer of the ROM chip is possible, a local computer technician should be able to perform the procedure. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
