Sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the actual hard drive is not included. We carry a large inventory of similar boards, so the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for drive repair or data recovery work. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirming compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most HDD PCBs store unique calibration/firmware data in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation and must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant; alternatively, for purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service to either relocate the ROM chip or reprogram the new PCB with the proper ROM data.
