This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or hard drive repair. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique calibration and configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM content is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to function correctly. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers who purchase $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
