This listing is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. The board is intended for SATA 3.5" Seagate hard drive repair and data-recovery work. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Before purchasing, confirm compatibility by consulting our Donor Matching Guide and run our hard drive Diagnostics Guide to verify that a replacement PCB will address your problem. Most Seagate PCBs store unique calibration and configuration data in the ROM chip; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to function correctly. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the ROM chip. For customers spending $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
