This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may look slightly different from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Important: many PCBs store unique configuration in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for proper drive operation and must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically transplanted, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
