This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the physical hard drive is not included. Due to our large inventory, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended purpose: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement PCB is the correct fix by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs store unique drive-specific information in the ROM ("memory") chip; that data is required for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip or its contents must be moved to the replacement board, or the new PCB must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data.
