This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock large quantities, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many PCBs contain a unique ROM (memory) chip whose data is required for the drive to function properly; that ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If it’s possible to transplant the ROM chip, a local computer technician can usually perform the soldering. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — we will either move the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
