This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we have a large stock of similar PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These PCBs are intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery projects. Many hard drive PCBs contain essential, unique data stored in the ROM “memory” chip; that information is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either move the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
