This sale is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we keep a large stock of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Most hard drive PCBs store unique operational data in a ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for correct drive function. The ROM chip itself, or the ROM data, must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to do the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
