This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — hard drive is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for use in hard drive repair or data recovery, this PCB should be verified before purchase. Many Seagate PCBs store unique data in a ROM (memory) chip that is required for the drive to operate. That ROM chip—or its contents—must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM can be moved physically, a qualified local computer technician can perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transplant the ROM chip onto your new PCB or reprogram the board with the correct ROM data.
