This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Important: most hard drive PCBs contain unique ROM information required for the drive to function. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board (or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data). If you cannot perform this yourself, a local computer technician can often transplant the ROM chip. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
