This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we have a large stock, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and HDD repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs hold unique configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. You must transfer the ROM chip or its contents to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the chip. For customers spending $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
