This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. We maintain a large inventory, so the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These boards are intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs contain a unique ROM (memory) chip storing essential information required for proper drive operation; that ROM data must be transferred to the replacement board or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM contents. If the ROM can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either relocates the ROM chip onto the new PCB or programs the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
