This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the HDD itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before ordering, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most Seagate PCBs store unique drive information in the ROM (memory) chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board, or the replacement board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the proper ROM data.
