Item is the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock large quantities, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photos. This board is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery work. Before purchasing, use our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, and verify compatibility by consulting the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM memory chip that is required for proper operation; the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
