Item is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — the drive itself is not included. Because we ship from a large stock, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for hard drive repair and data-recovery work. Prior to ordering, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be migrated to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform that task. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
