This listing is for the hard drive circuit board only (PCB / logic board). The physical hard drive is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photos. Intended use: replacement for data recovery or HDD repair. Many Seagate PCBs store unique parameters in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function properly. You must either transfer the ROM chip to the replacement board or have its data reprogrammed onto the new PCB. If you can move the chip, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer.
