This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the unit you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended purpose: data recovery and hard drive repair. That ROM data is required for proper drive operation and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved to the new PCB, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service: either transplanting the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
