This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the unit you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement boards are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before purchasing, confirm compatibility by consulting our Donor Matching Guide and run through the hard drive diagnostics guide to verify a PCB swap will address your issue. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM “memory” chip; that information is required for proper operation and must be transferred to the replacement board or reprogrammed. If possible, the ROM chip can be physically moved to the new PCB — a local computer technician can usually perform this. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
